Title
A name given to the resource
1946 Georgia Bulldogs
Description
An account of the resource
The 1946 Bulldogs are one of only three undefeated football fielded by the University (the others being in 1896 and 1980). This team was led by All-American Charley Trippi, but also featured star quarterback John Rauch. Despite being the only unbeaten, untied team in the country, the team finished 3rd in the AP poll behind Notre Dame and Army. The team did receive a first-place vote in the Williamson Poll, which was recognized at the time as a major football poll. The Williamson Poll was released after the bowl games were played, whereas the AP Poll was released after the last week of the regular season and did not take bowl games into account.

1945 Georgia Bulldogs
Description
An account of the resource
The 1945 Bulldogs went 9-2 (4-2) for the season as men began returning to the University from their military service. Title
A name given to the resource
1943 Georgia Bulldogs
Description
An account of the resource
The powerful 1942 Bulldogs team ceased to exist as soon as the final gun sounded on the Rose Bowl. The 1943 team was made up of men waiting to be drafted, men classified as 4-F (undraftable), or men too young to join the military. Given the option at the beginning of the season to continue playing or to disband the program for the duration of the war, these men voted to continue playing. The 1943 team struggled to a 6-4 record (0-3 in SEC play) while playing a limited schedule of small colleges and service teams.

Title
A name given to the resource
1942 Georgia Bulldogs
Description
An account of the resource
The 1942 Georgia Bulldogs were a deep and talented team, the culmination of the recruiting efforts of Coach Wally Butts since 1939. 1942 Heisman Trophy winner Frank Sinkwich ran behind a powerful line anchored by Walter Ruark. This team was a threat on the ground and through the air as Butts' innovative version of the single wing offense was predicated on keeping defenses off-balance.
