How to use Build your exhibit

1. Upload your stuff as items 

•      Items are the things, documents, images etc

2. Go to your page (e.g. poland) add a content block and hit save changes

3. Add content to your block

•      Content can be your essays, images with explanation, a gallery of  items
•       Break up your content into as many kinds of blocks as you want. Mix and match as you'd like

4. Create a Story Map

How to use Story Map JS

1. Visit http://storymap.knightlab.com/ make a free account for your group

2. Make a new Story Map

3. Stuctured like a powerpoint add a new slide for each step on the map

4. Double click on the map to drop a pin where you want this slide to appear

5. Fill in all the info for each slide

6. If you uploaded the stuff as an item click on the item in Omeka and copy the URL to paste into the slide

7. Your text goes below the Headline box

8. Hit save in the upper left often

9. When you're done hit share in the upper right

• make sure all your changes are published

• Scroll down in the share box and copy the embed code

How to include your map on omeka

1. Add a new text content block to your exhibit

2. Name it and save

3. In the text box click on the little blue html button to the right of the "paragraph"

4. Paste your code into the text box

5. Click update

6. Hit save changes on the right

7. View Public page
